Gallery at Studio 5 - Scoring update in v10.12.22
Today's release updates the rules doc to change scoring rules.
The intent isn't met yet, so these scoring rules may change in future updates. That intent is for players to examine collective illusions, using opinions on art as the vehicle.
Mechanically I'm interested in if the Spirit scoring is TOO hard to get, and if (with 4+ players) the majority becomes impossible to settle on due to the central tension in placement. Also, collective illusions consist of a "perception of public opinion" and a "private opinion." However this game though, the private opinions become public when they are revealed each round. This does have an effect on the following round - which holds true with collective illusions over generations, but I think neuters the impact of the public-private dichotomy within the short game experience. Instead, I think players are focusing too much on an act of bluffing.
Thematically I'm interested in developing the kinds of discussion that come up at your table around judging the art; any dissonance between judging for the "Perfect-theme" and for "creative," and what players are feeling when they intentionally don't pick the 'creative' one in, ostensibly, the name of being MORE creative.
